An online nikkah is a court marriage or nikah done online. The same protocols and steps that are followed in an actual nikah that you find in marriage, with the same officials, but done via video call (nikkah on a video call) or conference call. A Shariat Nikah is a nikkah that comes with no documentation and is just the religious ceremony of the nikah. Here the bride and groom are present with their witnesses, an amount of Haq Mehr, and a religious sermon (known as a dua) is read in everyone’s presence.
